Two bases, one country
Tbilisi or Batumi — most people end up with both.
Tbilisi is the dense, creative capital where the business community sits. Batumi is subtropical, coastal and considerably calmer. They are an hour apart by plane and many of our clients split the year.
Tbilisi
Old town wine bars, Vera cafés, galleries, sulphur baths and a nightlife scene with a genuine international reputation. Mountains within a two hour drive in almost any direction.
Batumi
A long Black Sea promenade, palm trees, new-build seafront apartments, summer festivals and a slower rhythm. Sea one way, tea plantations and rainforest the other.

After dark
A social life that actually exists.
Georgia is a country where people go out, stay out late, and socialise face to face. Tbilisi's nightlife has a genuine international reputation, the founder community is small enough to feel like one, and dating through that community is common and easy. You are not moving somewhere quiet.
Bassiani is one of the best-regarded electronic clubs in Europe and sits underneath a stadium. Add the cocktail bars of Vera, late natural-wine bars, rooftop terraces and small live-music rooms, and Tbilisi stays out well past midnight most weeks.

Skiing and the mountains
Georgia has a genuine winter season. Gudauri is roughly two hours from Tbilisi, with Bakuriani, Mestia and Goderdzi as alternatives, and the season typically runs from December into April.

Nightlife and going out
Tbilisi has one of the most underrated nightlife scenes in Europe. Bassiani sits underneath a football stadium, smaller clubs run until dawn in the old town, and the wine-bar and cocktail scene in Vera and Sololaki is genuinely world-class. None of it is hard to find once you know where to look.
